Bucky's father owns a candle and gift shop. He carefully makes candles to light Maple Town homes. Each spring he and his family work hard to dam Maple Stream for the town children to swim in. Bucky's mother works in the front room of the shop making beautiful quilts. The shop is busy with women bringing her materials for her hand made quilts and exchanging patterns. Bucky is busy all the time building forts and exploring the forest. He'll stop long enough to pick berries for lunch with Patty and Bobby. Bitsy is full of energy. She loves to play house and make mud pies. When it's nap time, she'll curl in a basket of soft yarn to sleep.
